Sono nata in Germania in una famiglia dove l’amore per l’Italia è radicato da generazioni e quindi ho vissuto nel Belpaese, e soprattutto in Sicilia, per la maggior parte della mia vita. Ho un diploma di traduttrice e interprete e lavoro nel turismo dal 1987. Per alcuni anni ho lavorato come tour leader per un grande tour operator tedesco e dal 2000 sono guida autorizzata.

Mi piace far scoprire la mia patria adottiva ai visitatori non solo attraverso gli importantissimi aspetti culturali e artistici ma anche attraverso la vita vissuta, attraverso tradizioni e leggende, il vociare dei venditori negli antichi mercati, i mille colori della sua natura e i profumi dei suoi cibi.

Ich stamme ursprünglich aus Deutschland, aus einer Familie, in der die Liebe zu Italien schon seit Generationen im Blut steckte. Kein Wunder also, dass ich den größten Teil meines Lebens in diesem immer wieder faszinierenden Land, vor allem in Sizilien, verbrachte. Ich habe ein Diplom als Dolmetscherin und Übersetzerin und seit 1987 arbeite ich im Tourismus-Sektor. Ich habe einige Jahre die Rund- und Studienreisen eines großen deutschen Reiseveranstalters begleitet und seit dem Jahr 2000 bin ich lizensierte Gästeführerin.

Ich liebe es, den Gästen aus aller Herren Länder die Kunst und Kultur Siziliens nahe zu bringen, aber gemeinsam mit Ihnen auch das alltägliche Leben zu entdecken, seine uralten Traditionen und Legenden, die Stimmen der Verkäufer auf den lebhaften Straßen-Märkten, die bunten Farben der üppigen Mittelmeervegetation sowie die Düfte und eschmäcker des authentischen sizilianischen Essens.

was born in Germany in a family where the love for Italy has been deep-rooted for generations. Therefore, no surprise that I spent most of my life in this fascinating country, especially in Sicily. I took an exam to become an interpreter and translator and I’ve been working in tourism since 1987.

For several years I’ve been a tour escort for a major German tour operator and since 2000 I am a licensed tourist guide.

I love being in contact with people from all over the world helping them to discover our beautiful island under all its different aspects. From its cultural and artistic points of view but also its everyday life, its traditions and legends, the voices in its ancient street markets, the colours of its flowers and landscapes as well as the scents and tastes of the delicious Sicilian food.
